How to Install an SSL Certificate

After purchasing an SSL Certificate, you will get an email with instructions on how to start the SSL Generation process. Before you do this, you will need to generate a certificate signing request (CSR) in your control panel found at https://yourcontrolpanel.com.au:10000. Replace yourcontrolpanel.com.au with your domain name.

Once you have logged into your control panel, go to Server Configuration > Manage SSL Certificate. It should look like this:

Go to CREATE SIGNING REQUEST and fill in the required details to look something like this:

After generating the CSR, you will get 2 keys. 1 CERTIFICATE REQUEST, and 1 RSA PRIVATE KEY. You will need to copy the CERTIFICATE REQUEST key to begin the process.

You can now start the generation process found at https://warptec.com.au/whmcs/clientarea.php?action=products > View Details > Generate Cert Now

Paste the CSR you generated here, select Apache +ModSSL, and fill out the other details. Your certificate generation should look like this:

The next step is to verify that you are the owner of the domain. Selecting postmaster@yourdomain.com.au is the quickest option, which will send you a verification link to your email address.

After you have verified your domain, you will receive an email from the SSL provider with your new certificate.

The last step is to install your new certificate. Log back into your control panel and go to Server Configuration > Manage SSL Certificate > APPLY SIGNED CERTIFICATE.

Paste your new certificate in the area provided and click install now. It should look like:

Make sure you copy it exacly how it appears in your email. Any white spaces will fail to apply.

Your certificate should now be installed. You can verify it by clicking CURRENT CERTIFICATE in your control panel. Make sure to refresh your browser when testing it.
